Howl from the Past is the fourth and final of the four Adventure Mode quests for the Pirates of the Flying Fortress DLC for Two Worlds II. The player is asked by some Scavengers to help them clear the old Brotherhood Headquarters which were desiccated by Vidon Ghosts before The Swallows were created.

Howl from the Past[edit | edit source]

You have received a message that Scavengers from The Swallows region near Vahkmaar Castle need help. Sagacious Madi, leader of the Warriors Guild, paid Scavengers to kill tainted monsters at the site of the old Guild headquarters. You have reached Scavengers' camp and need to talk to them, to get more details about your task.

Ronlan: I'm grateful that you've responded to our request for help. We were paid to find and clear out the old Brotherhood headquarters in this region... but unfortunately, neither our first nor second group of Seers ever reported back. Some of us were surely killed - we still don't have a clear idea of who survived and who didn't. Your task is to find the forgotten Warrior Guild's headquarters and discover what happened with the Seers. If you find anybody, rescue them without hesitation. Your efforts will be rewarded. Gods be with you!

Find the last Scavengers who went fighting on the Swallows.
You have reached the Scavenger camp on the Swallows near Vahkmar Castle. You've been tasked by Ronlan to find the last living Seers, who were sent on a mission by Sagaciouse Madi, Leader of the Warriors Guild: He paid a group of Scavengers to clear out an old Guild headquarters, long overrun by packs of monsters. An unknown number of Seers were apparently killed trying to carry out their task. You must find the last living Scavengers on the Swallows to gather more information about your mission..
Defeat the creatures to open the gate!
Sorban is battling with monsters.
Rescue wounded Scavenger!
Monsters defeated.
Talk to Sorban.
You have found Sorben, a wounded Scavenger, fighting with monsters. Dead bodies of Seers lay scattered on the ground, signifying a long, bloody (and evidently losing) battle. Rescue the wounded Seer to learn more information about your mission.

Sorban: It's not something I'm accustomed to saying, but - I'm grateful for your help. if not for your intervention, I would be dead now, just as surely as my fallen comrades. I'm no longer in any condition to fight; you must complete our task - but the way to the Guild headquarters is sealed. I have seen the past reality of this place: The magical seal can be broken only by activating two hidden pressure-plate switches. You will find one in a crypt within the haunted Guild graveyard, another in an abandoned forge. I'm counting on you.

Sorban is apparently one among a group of Seers who tried to reach the old Brotherhood headquarters - his companions were killed, and he is now wounded. He has tasked you with getting to the old Warriors Guild stronghold. The way is magically sealed, so you must first unlock it. To do so, you have to visit the Guild cemetery and an abandoned forge. Your first goal is to make your way to the graveyard.
Sorban told you how to gain access to the old Brotherhood headquarters.

Brotherhood headquarters cleared!
Talk to the Scavenger named Torkan.
You have cleared old Brotherhood headquarte65rs of Vidon Ghosts... but at the very end appeared huge Phantoms -- probably the last line of resistance. Send them back to Hell.
After a long fight you have cleared whole area; it looks like the old Brotherhood headquarters are safe now. You have found a separate building, and Scavengers barricaded inside. They seem to be a part of group that were trying to accomplish a task from Sagacious Madi. Talk to the one named Torkan.

Torkan: Us, being 'rescued.' The very idea... This whole city was built by members of the Brotherhood; many years ago, it was populated with warriors and their families. Then one day - everybody was massacred, by an organized division of the Vidons. Nobody could have foreseen that The Swallows would consume these lands in a burst of destructive power from Vahkmaar Castle. We reached the remains of the city and barracaded ourselves within -- the legions of ghosts were just too much. You have saved our lives.

You helped Scavengers to complete their task!
You have reached Scavengers' camp on The Swallows near Vahkmaar castle and were asked by Ronlan to find the last living Seers, who went to accomplish a task for Sagaciouse Madi. You have found a wounded Scavenger named Sorban fighting with creatures and rescued him. He was one of the Seers who tried to reach the old Brotherhood headquarters. Because his companions were killed and he himself was wounded, he asked you to press the special switches in the Guild graveyard and forge. Doing so, you reached the old Brotherhood headquarters, populated with Vidon Ghosts. Ultimately, you realised that a handful of Scavengers barricaded themselves inside one of the buildings. They were grateful for your help.
