Bonus Codes were special codes given out which allowed players to redeem powerful items early on in their adventure.

Redemption[edit | edit source]

Codes can be redeemed once per save, work on any version of the game, and can be redeemed an infinite number of times. They will only work in the single-player game mode and won't disable Xbox 360 achievements. Codes should be activated somewhere with as few people or monsters as possible and it's advised that you look at the ground, as the item will spawn where you're currently looking.

PC[edit | edit source]

Pressing the Tilde on the keyboard (`) will bring up a text box. Codes must be entered in by typing "bonuscode xxxxxxxxxxx", replacing the x with the code.

Example:
Bonuscode 9144-3879-7593-9224

Xbox 360[edit | edit source]

Console players will have to press the left bumper (5), the right bumper (10), and then A. Press X to bring up the text window for cheats and bonus codes. From this point forward, an Xbox 360 chat pad or a keyboard can be used to enter codes. From there, the codes must be entered in the following format.

Example:
Bonuscode 9144-3879-7593-9224

Documented Locations[edit | edit source]

Currently, there have been 3 (known) sets of codes, all released in Collectors Editions. The first 2 are U.S. based, featuring the ESRB rating of M. They both contain the Spear of Destiny and The Great Bow of Heaven's Fury. The second set of codes are U.K based and contain the Armor of Darkness and Valermos Sword of Fire. The only one not currently spotted in any form is the Great Shield of Yatholen. All three known sources of the codes have been for PC releases.
