Editing Draft:Shattered Embrace:Triumvirate of Arveran

Triumvirate was an ancient realm on the island of [[Arveran]] predating the creation of the [[Kingdom of Arveran]] in it's place. The main difference was the fact that it was multiracial (in sharp contrast to it's all-Elven successor) and quasi-democratic, due to it's unique form of government. It's an important part of lore in ''[[Shattered Embrace]]''.

==History==
The Triumvirate was established on the island by the colonists from [[Alsorna]], [[Erimos]] and the unnamed [[Elves|Elven]] homeland, all led by the [[Founders]] who later named themselves Lords and formed the so-called [[First Triumvirate]]. Each subsequent Triumvirate consisted of three lords (usually the Founders' own descendants), each ruling over one of three peoples: Lord Archmage was always the ruler of [[Humans]]; Lord Archdruid was the ruler of Elves; and Lord General was the leader of [[Orcs]].

During the initial period of Triumvirate's history (a.k.a. the [[Age of Heroes]]), the state had three separate capitals (built around the Towers of [[Stone Crown]]), each being the seat of a different lord: [[Gromshar]], [[Tar-Dalnir]] and [[Lorrendar]]. After the [[Tenebrae Invasion]] and the destruction of those three cities, the Founders' descendants decided to built the common city for the remainders of all three populations, named [[Shadinar]] (during the [[Age of Reconstruction]]). It soon became a single capital of the Triumvirate, with all the subsequent Lords residing next to each other, in different towers of the [[Royal Palace|Palace of Hope]]. Shadinar completion marked the beginning of new era or prosperity (called the [[Age of Harmony]]).

The Triumvirate's fall came after the [[Troubles]], which were later portrayed by the Elves as Human rebellion (eventually supported by Orcs). The outcome of this conflict was the eradication of both Human and Orcish populations on Arveran (although some managed to escape to [[Outworld]]). The last Lord Archdruid of the Elves, [[Talinor]], thus became the ruler of the entire island; an unwanted victory that triggered him to taking the crown, thus re-naming the state into the [[Kingdom of Arveran]] (shown in the DLC).

==Rulers==
The Triumvirate's ruling council was continously changing, as new members were co-opted after their predecessors demise. However, certain threes of contemporary rulers are often referred to collectively in books and dialogues:
* The [[First Triumvirate]] consisted of [[Dalnir]], [[Lorren]] and [[Gromsh]].
* The [[Second Triumvirate]] consisted of [[Galadir]], [[Baramir]] and [[Ulzag]].
* The [[Penultimate Triumvirate]] consisted of [[Larlandor]], [[Farnam]] and [[Khardag]].
* The [[Last Triumvirate]] consisted of [[Talinor]] (who later took the crown), [[Teramon]] and [[Gorana]].
