Shattered Embrace

  • In ancient times, the Sharrean Forest was inhabited by the Elven settlers led by Lord Dalnir. Their town, Tar-Dalnir, was deserted after the war of the Tenebrae.
  • In ancient times, the malevolent Tenebrae Order attempted to invade Arveran. Their Dark Priests managed to destroy all three towers of the Stone Crown, as well as the surrounding towns, but ultimately, they were defeated.
  • Gromshar ruins are the remains of an ancient Orcish city on Arveran. It was destroyed during the Tenebrae Invasion.
  • The ancient towers on Arveran are called the Stone Crown. Each was inhabited by the Founder. the Human wizard Lorren, the Orcish warrior Gromsh and the Eleven druid Dalnir.
  • Fenrir was Adramelech's most trusted lieutenant, and a devoted believer in his ideology.
  • All three districts of Shadinar are named after Warriors, Hunters and Mages. Those were dominant professions of the three races once inhabiting the city.
  • The Hunters' Quarter of Shadinar was the original Elven district. Their leaders used the title of Lord Archdruid.
  • Balek was a rich Mothark, one of Laginu's cousins. His ship broke apart on the rocks off Cloudy Bay, but the gold salvaged from the wreckage was the seed money for the foundation of Freehaven.
  • Outworld is called "Mirdowrld" by some of its inhabitants, who also refer to Antaloor as "Othersyde".
  • Gramordan and Averian are two main rivers of Arveran. They flow through the Morrag Peninsula, joining near the Stone Bridge.
  • The Undercity is a mysterious labyrinth below Shadinar. All city dungeons are said to be linked to it by secret doors.
  • The Tower of Ulzag in the Royal Palace is named after the Lord General of the Second Triumvirate. Ulzag was the son of the Orcish warlord Gromsh, one of the Founders.
  • Tal-Dalnir ruins are the remains of the original Elven city of Arveran. It was destroyed during the Tenebrae Invasion.
  • Shadinar was built after the Tenebrae Invasion, when the Dark Priests burned the older towns of Lorrendar, Gromshar and Tal-Dalnir to the ground.
