In ''Two Worlds'', Experience Points are gained by killing monsters and completing Quests. Experience Points are needed to Level up so that the Hero can become more powerful, use better items and increase Parameters. Levelling up gives the Hero five Points to spend on Parameters, and one point to spend on Skills. The exception to this is the first few Levels, where the Hero gains two Skill Points instead of one.

Some quests reward experience points for completing them. On the quest pages, it is given as "x# XP." What this means is that if you times your current level against that number, you will get the number of experience points you will recieve for completing the quest. For example, "x30 XP" on a level 20 character would result in 600 XP (20 * 30 = 600) and "x80 XP" on a level 50 character would result in 4000 XP (50 * 80 = 4000).
