Template:Character TW2 Karel is the mayor of Dorchad settlement, a royal subject of the kingdom of Ascalia that controls the island of Tebris. He's also a direct descendant of Dorchad the Dreamer, the founder of the village and the first one in the long line of mayors.
Karel plays a major role in the main plot of Call of the Tenebrae. He later serves as a hub-character for minor side quests.
