Initially known as 'Teramon's Tower', this monumental building was constructed (perhaps magically) by the Archmage Teramon during his lone excursions, during peaceful years predating the Troubles (near the end of the Age of Harmony). After the Great Crossing and the establishment of the town, Teramon decided to give the Tower to the former Archdruid he brought from Arveran, Larlandor, who by that time has become a spiritual leader - called 'the Teacher' - of the refugees (hence the structure's new name).
