Walkthrough[edit | edit source]
Head towards Thome's burned house which is to the east of Bayan and south of the Old Cart Workshop. Ensure the house is the correct one because there are two sites with burned housing in that area.
There are two Rhinos here and three Baboons here to dispatch. Once they are taken care of, check in the three locked boxes inside the house to find the Ranger Precision Skillbook and the Scribe's Inkwell.
Head back to Thome's house. You will be confronted by Flora, Thome's ex-wife, and given a choice:

Give Flora the Scribe's Inkwell.
Go inside the house and tell Thome he couldn't find the inkwell.
The quest is marked complete.
Thome[edit | edit source]
Give Thome the inkwell. He is in his house.
The quest is marked complete and you receive the Writ of Protection.
