The Paladins are a group of individuals who are opposed to Gandohar and Reists' intentions. They appear in most towns under the name "Stranger", while giving advice to the Hero in the form of cryptic riddles. They wear a distictive armor which is silver in color with a pure white hood. They are quite accomplished swordsmen and magicians, armed with a "Valermos-Sword of Fire" and an array of powerful spells. The leader of the Paladins is Balor. The Paladins do not have a variable reputation like all of the other factions. Their behavior, instead, is determined by the main plot. Depending on what choice the Hero makes at the end of the game, the Paladins are either never seen again, or they will appear in Oswaroth and try to kill the player (for siding with Gandohar to revive Aziraal).
