Sternok (also called 'Sternok the Strong') is a crazy bandit met on Tebris in Call of the Tenebrae. He's a former companion of Caleb and Gillscar in Lawrence Lexington's organization in New Ashos, who later escaped.
Sternok's gang needs to be delt with during irenite mine-related quest line, since they stole a shipment of crystals from the mine, preventing them from being delivered to Ebenezer Vanderbilt. Since the delivery is a part of an agreement between the Vanderbilt Consortium and Dorchad Regional Union of Miners that The Hero helps to negiotiate, the stolen crystals needs to be reclaimed, which means either killing Sternok and taking them by force, or completing his own line of quests in order to get them peacefully.
Later on, Sternok turns out to be a number one on Caleb's hit list, so the Hero needs to decide whether to kill Sternok, or rather help him fake his own death and escape Tebris instead.
