The Hero is a nameless mercenary, a profession not many in Antaloor would willingly choose. Most mercenaries operate as part of a band or company, such as The Brotherhood, though he prefers to work alone.
Early Life
Little is known about "The Heroes" early life. According to one of his diaries, his family often told stories of a Relic in their possession. He never believed them, due to being as poor as 'church mice'. He was always extremely close with his sister Kira and while they were kids, he was able to communicate with her from a distance, using Nodes.
He reveals very little about where he's from, but he states that nobody pays where he's from unless forced to. (He might say he's from southern mainland.)
Personality
He's extremely secretive about his past, revealing very little, even to close friends. He never tells anyone his name; When investing into a business in Hatmandor, he states that he prefers to be a silent partner. He's done everything from poison the entire well of a village while working with Necromancers to agreeing to kill his client when his assassination target offers him a higher bounty. His most heinous crime is likely sacrificing his own twin sisters life and body to the evil tyrant Gandohar, for a share of his power.
The Hero is quite possibly the most naive and gullible person in all of Antaloor. When he finds his sister after months of searching, he's fooled by Gandohar, into thinking he's only a messenger and servant of a dark brotherhood. When Gandohar reveals the truth at Quidinar and flees, he chases him to Oswaroh. Gandohar again offers the hand of friendship, which he accepts; only to be tricked.
After 5 years of being beaten and tortured in Emperor Gandohar's dungeons, he had revenge on his mind. When he makes his way back to Castle Vahkmaar, a platoon of soldiers are there to meet him; claiming the Emperor means him no Ill will. They drop their weapons as a show of good faith and yet again, he believes Emperor Gandohar. Luckily for him, Gandohar was telling the truth the third time around; though it's likely only because he was too weak to put up a fight.
'The Hero' is the main protaganist of the Two Worlds games.

The Hero is the un-named protagonist of Two Worlds.
He's first seen in the opening cutscene to the game, riding in a storm, on horseback with his sister Kyra , avoiding Gandohar .
When he discovers his sister Kyra is wounded, he searches an abandoned home in Thalmont for a place of rest, only to discover Kyra was captured by a pursuing Gandohar.
After months of searching, he is confronted by a villager of Komorin village named Tago, who directs him to the Village Elder of Komorin, and tells him Mercenaries wish to see him, thus beginning the main adventure of Two Worlds.
Throughout the game, The Hero finds himself earning the trust of various clans, tribes, and even an orc to find out information on his sister's whereabouts.
Along the way, The Hero uncovers the truth about his family's past and must find the five elemenents of his ancestor's key, that unlocks the tomb of Aziraal.
Betrayed by Gandohar at the ritual to unlock Aziraal's tomb, he then travels to the nearby Necromancer towers and kill Gandohar's best men. Eventually, he travels to Oswaroth and fights Reist Tungard and Gandohar (depending on whether you chose to fight him).
If The Hero decides to side with Gandohar, he is last seen standing alongside him with his sister, Kyra. If The Hero decides to fight Gandohar, it takes you to the beginning of the game where he is seen on horseback with Kyra (whichever side you pick, it makes no impact on the sequel, Two Worlds 2).
