Made of stone, as indicated by the name. It is not effected by slashing damage, and lightning damage has little effect. For a more complete description, see [[Stone Golem]]. this monster just like the stone dragon has a very hard defense, an achievment is awarded for defeating one of these monsters in the first game.

Though simply referred to as 'golems' in game, these are the largest and strongest of the golems. They are <u>immune to all types of basic weapons</u>, and can only be harmed by effects, the most potent of which are fire and lightning. A pair of steel golems can be found north of the Enclave, while over a dozen more inhabit the island to the southwest of [[Ashos]], this island is the place that you want to go if your going to train up because of the amount of steel golems, this island is home to a huge amount of treasure chests aswell... if you can get to them.

Arguable the weakest golem type, and by far the most numerous. They are quite common in the region north of [[Gor Gammar]], south of [[Cathalon]], and west of the [[Dead Woods]].
