The "Master Mixers wanted!" news article from February 23, 2007 states that potion recipe's would be offered for sale in shops and as rewards for quests.[1] This was shortly after the game was delayed for the final time (January 26, 2007)[2], meaning this gameplay element was cut very late in development.
