Loading Screens display various pieces of lore. The aim of this page is to document them all for use as sources.

Two Worlds II

  • Check the quest log to recall your goals.
  • Collect herbs and ingredients, and use them to brew useful potions.
  • Drin a healing potion to heal your wounds, or disarm yourself to activate regeneration.
  • Swim to take shortcuts through water.
  • You can dismantle unneeded objects to collect ingredients for upgrades.

Shattered Embrace

  • Adramelech continued the Tenebrae experiments, creating new hybrid species.
  • Adramelech sent his troops to Arveran after tearing the memories of it from Dar Pha's tortured mind.
  • All three districts of Shadinar are named after Warriors, Hunters and Mages. Those were dominant professions of the three races once inhabiting the city.
  • Ancient Elves in Arveran lived in Tar-Dalnir in the Sharrean Forrest. They were ruled by their Lord Archdruid from the Tower of Dalnir.
  • Arveran was one the home of all three races living in harmony: Humans, Orcs and Elves. After a great civil war, call the Troubles, only Elves remained.
  • Balek was a rich Mothark, one of Laginu's cousins. His ship broke apart on the rocks off Cloudy Bay, but the gold salvaged from the wreckage was the seed money for the foundation of Freehaven.
  • Before Shadinar was built, all three races of Arveran lived separately. The Humans lived in Lorrendar, the Orcs in Gromshar, and the Elves in Tar-Dalnir.
  • Bernard Vanderbilt led an expedition on Abraham's orders. His job was to retrieve Tenebrae artifacts from a ruined temple.
  • Chieftain Kartiki is an important person in Mothark society. Freehaven's mayor Laginu respects him greatly.
  • Each tower of the Palac of Hope is named after a member of the Second Triumvirate: Baramir, Galadir, and Ulzag.
  • Elves utilize Athria Beach and the Qual'atar Canyons as closed proving grounds to test their war machines.
  • Fenrir is Adramelech's chief enforcer. He leads the strike force of Chosen that was sent to Arveran before Adramelech fell.
  • Fenrir was Adramelech's most trusted lieutenant, and a devoted believer in his ideology.
  • Finglor is the son of the martyred Lord Larlandor, and the King's nephew. He is also the Royal Engineer at the court.
  • Freehaven is located over the waters of the Cloudy Bay, so non-Elves can live there without breaking Elven laws.
  • Freehaven was built atop the ruined Tower of Lorren, where the original Lord Archmage of Humans used to reside.
  • Gramordan and Averian are two main rivers of Arveran. They flow through the Morrag Peninsula, joining near the Stone Bridge.
  • Gromshar ruins are the remains of an ancient Orcish city on Arveran. It was destroyed during the Tenebrae Invasion.
  • High Preist Baelir leads the cult of Aziraal in Shadinar. His temple is located in the Warriors' Quarter.
  • High Preist Tarundil leads the cult of Maliel in Shadinar. Her temple is located in the Hunters' Quarter.
  • Ilaesir is one of the most talented painters in Shadinar. Rumor has it that he's quite jealous of his rival, Zotmar.
  • In ancient times, the Sharrean Forest was inhabited by the Elven settlers led by Lord Dalnir. Their town, Tar-Dalnir, was deserted after the war of the Tenebrae.
  • In ancient times, the malevolent Tenebrae Order attempted to invade Arveran. Their Dark Priests managed to destroy all three towers of the Stone Crown, as well as the surrounding towns, but ultimately, they were defeated.
  • Jonas Vanderbilt is the son of Ebenzer Vanderbilt, a deceased irenite mine owner. Now, Jonas runs the mine on Tebris in his stead.
  • Karatree Reach and Morrag Peninsula are separated by Qual'atar Hills, but both can be entered from Shadinar.
  • Laginu is the mayor of Freehaven. He is also a part-time wizard, more than capable of helping those who are friendly to him.
  • Lertis is Fenrir's second-in-command. He believes in Adramelech's cause, but not with the single-minded zealotry of his master.
  • Maleno was the founder of Freehaven, and one of Laginu's cousins. His story is dark and shrounded in mystery.
  • Outworld is called "Midworld" by some of its inhabitants, who also refer to Antaloor as "Othersyde".
  • Qual'atar Hills separate the Morrag Peninsula from Karatree Reach. They can't be crossed, only bypassed through Shadinar.
  • Remember that Humans are normally not allowed to walk on the streets of Shadinar City.
  • Shadinar was built after the Tenebrae Invasion, when the Dark Priests burned the older towns of Lorrendar, Gromshar and Tal-Dalnir to the ground.
  • Sharrean Forest and Morrag Peninsula are separated by Vael'nir Hills, but can be entered from Shadinar.
  • Tal-Dalnir ruins are the remains of the original Elven city of Arveran. It was destroyed during the Tenebrae Invasion.
  • Teramon was the Lord Archmage when the Troubles began. He escaped to another dimension using the magical Gate.
  • The ancient ruins on the edge of the Morrag Peninsula are the remains of the Tower of Gromsh. It used to be the heart of the Orcish settlement called Gromshar.
  • The ancient towers on Arveran are called the Stone Crown. Each was inhabited by the Founder. the Human wizard Lorren, the Orcish warrior Gromsh and the Eleven druid Dalnir.
  • The Feast of Founding is celebrated every year in Freehaven. It commemorates the founding of the city by Laginu's cousin, Maleno.
  • The Founders fell during the Tenebrae Invasion. The Second Triumvirate took their place: Lord Baramir, Lord Galadir, and Lord Ulzag.
  • The Hunters' Quarter of Shadinar was the original Elven district. Their leaders used the title of Lord Archdruid.
  • The Islet of the Damned lies near Freehaven. Its northern part can be accessed from there directly, and houses a Mothark shrine.
  • The Red Dimension is a most mysterious place. The concept of Hell in every known religion seems to have been modelled after it.
  • The sight and feel of Arveran caused Dar Pha's long-repressed childhood memories returning, but fragmented and incomplete.
  • The statue of Lord Dalnir in the Square of the Founders was once accompanied by statues of Lord Lorren and Lord Gromsh, but those were toppled during the Troubles.
  • The Tower of Baramir in the Royal Palace is named after the Lord Archmage of the Second Triumvirate. Baramir was a Human, the son of Lorren, one of the Founders.
  • The Tower of Ulzag in the Royal Palace is named after the Lord General of the Second Triumvirate. Ulzag was the son of the Orcish warlord Gromsh, one of the Founders.
  • The Undercity is a mysterious labyrinth below Shadinar. All city dungeons are said to be linked to it by secret doors.
  • The Warrior's Quarter of Shadinar was once home to the Orcs. Their leaders used the title of Lord General.
  • Thunder Pass once allowed crossing Vael'nir Hills. It connected Morrag Peninsula with Sharrean Forest, but a massive landslide blocked it forever.
  • Vael'nir Hills separate the Morrag Peninsula from Sharrean Forest. They can't be crossed, only bypassed through Shadinar.
