Odval is a guard in Bayan stationed in front of the gates leading to Hatmandor. He will not let the anyone pass who doesn't bear a writ of protection. Fortunately, there is a kind old man living in Bayan who will offer to write you a forged one...if you do something for him first. Of course, you could always go around the gate...
