Removed and Unused Content is content that was either cut, removed, unused or never finished during development. Additionally, this page will cover names that changed at some point in localization or development. From armor to monsters or mounted heads and many other things. Some can still be found in-game, while others are found on bonus disks, promotional material or videos.
Playable Races Online
According to a 2006 interview with Miroslaw Dymek, Technical Director of Reality Pump (As of June 5, 2006), players were originally going to be able to play as: Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Humans and Reptiles online, but in the end were only able to play as humans and elves.[1]
Potion Recipe's
The "Master Mixers wanted!" news article from February 23, 2007 states that potion recipe's would be offered for sale in shops and as rewards for quests.[2] This was shortly after the game was delayed for the final time (January 26, 2007)[3], meaning this gameplay element was cut very late in development.
Changed Names
Numerous names changed at some point during development and between games.
Covengor
The Two Worlds map lists the name Covenant for Covengor.
Gor Gammar
Gor Gammar was once known as Gor Gamaar. This can be seen in subtitles and on signposts.
Oswaroh
Oswaroh was renamed to Oswaroth in Two Worlds II and Two Worlds II: Castle Defense. A signpost in Two Worlds features the name Osgaroth.
Qudinar
The signposts in-game say Qudinaar. While Reist's dialogue sounds like he says "Qundohar."
