Defense Mode is a multiplayer mode DLC in Two Worlds II where the player is tasked with defending Emperor Gandohar or General Sordahon from waves of enemies. It's reminiscent of Two Worlds II: Castle Defense, though with the more action-focused gameplay of Two Worlds II.
Plot
Set in the year 345 after Gandohar tricks "The Hero" into allowing him to imprison Aziraal in his sister Kira's body. The Great Battle of Oswaroth is taking place and the Orc general Rogdor leads a strike force against the throne room of Oswaroth. Once the assault has been defeated, Gandohar orders General Sordahon to eliminate every last Orc reinforcement in the Forest Camp. Once the war is over and Gandohar is victorious, he seeks out Maliel's Thrones. In order for Kira's body to sustain Aziraal, Gandohar needs to track down Maliel's Thrones, which he can use to transfer the life force of "The Hero" into Kira. The first throne is discovered in a temple in the Dra'kar Desert. The second throne is discovered in a cemetery on Eikronas.[1]
