Thome the Scribe, is a retired scribe living in Bayan. He is friendly yet weary of strangers, although, old age has claimed his days, it didn't claim Thome's health nor his talent. Thome spends his days sitting outside his house contemplating the state of what was once the Beautiful bastion in the desert, Bayan.
