'''The Swallows''' is a devastated land on the island of {{Lore|Eollas}} near {{Lore|New Ashos}}. The land is twisted and mangled, and evil permeates every crevice, while the inhabitants are just as twisted and corrupted. Some buildings miraculously still exist. Many deadly creatures mutated by the dark magic live and thrive there, preying on all. The sky is permanently dark, and there are small green fissures all over the ground.


==Creation==
The Swallows were created by a wayward experiment on {{Lore|Verita Crystals}} gone wrong by a young {{Lore|Gandohar}}, more than 30 years previously in the year {{Lore|320}}. In his second year of study at the {{Lore|Veneficus University}}, Gandohar attempted reckless experiments with Verita. One of his experiments went terribly wrong. The fragile balance between the elements was destroyed - and in the green and fertile land now known as the Swallows, the Verita wreaked havoc. It took the combined efforts of the Veneficus Master Mages to stop the Verita contagion from spreading and they did it by erecting a magic barrier around the Swallows.<ref>{{Meta|Two Worlds II - Antaloor Post}} issue 12.</ref><ref group="n" name=":0"></ref>

The Swallows is a devastated land on the island of Eollas near New Ashos. The land is twisted and mangled, and evil permeates every crevice, while the inhabitants are just as twisted and corrupted. Some buildings miraculously still exist. Many deadly creatures mutated by the dark magic live and thrive there, preying on all. The sky is permanently dark, and there are small green fissures all over the ground.

The Swallows were created by a wayward experiment on Verita Crystals gone wrong by a young Gandohar, more than 30 years previously in the year 320.
