Gillscar is the foreman in an irenite mine on Tebris. He's the leader of Dorchad Regional Union of Miners and a major quest giver in Call of the Tenebrae DLC to Two Worlds II.

Officialy, Gillscar is simply a former soldier of Ascalia. Unofficially, he once was a member of Eollas-based Lawrence Lexington's organization in New Ashos, who traveled to Tebris and joined the miners in order to revolt them against the Vanderbilt Consortium, so his former companion Caleb could claim the mine for himself once the strike is over. However, Gillscar was deeply moved by his companions, and at one point he went rouge, refusing to help Caleb.

If Gillscar doesn't die in battle with Ebenezer Vanderbilt and his mercenaries (the outcome of the battle depends on The Hero's decisions), he becomes a number two on Caleb's hit list. That means the Hero either needs to kill him, or to help him to fake his death.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Once Gillscar disappears (after his death or escape), his grave can be tracked on a cementary in Dorchad. Several of his fellow miners can be found standing over it from this point on, including the union's quartermaster, who no longer can be found in the mine (but trading with him is still possible).
  • Gillscar appears to be named after Arthur Scargill (with two pieces of the name reversed), a real-life leader of the National Union of Mineworkers in the UK (a real-life equivalent D.R.U.M.), famous for their strikes, as well as the harsh treatment by the Tory government in the mid-1980s.
