Vanderbilt Consortium is a multinational financial cartel run by various members of Vanderbilt family. It's operations include mining metals and minerals, producing weapons and various financial activities.

Call of the Tenebrae[edit | edit source]

The Consortium is introduced in Call of the Tenebrae as one of two joinable factions. The Hero can advance through their ranks by acting in organization's interest while on Tebris, eventually being forced to either help it overcome the strike (organized by the local union) using hired mercenaries, or to save the miners instead (it's also possible to betray them at the very last moment, joining forces with the Consortium again).

Echoes of the Dark Past II[edit | edit source]

In Echoes of the Dark Past II , the player works for the Consortium in retrieving some lost Tenebrae artifacts. For the characters involved, see below.

Shattered Embrace[edit | edit source]

As in a previous DLC, in Shattered Embrace the Consortium is a joinable faction on Arveran. However, this time it's about Freehaven-based branch, independent from the Tebris-based one, so there is no direct continuity with the Hero's efforts prior to his arrival (any rank achieved previously is not retained, even if the character has been imported). This time, the Consortium seeks to dominate the trade with the Elves (no longer self-sufficient) through extanding it's control over the local merchant town, supplying this ancient race with various goods.

Family members[edit | edit source]

Known members of the family are:

  • Ebenezer Vanderbilt, running an irenite mine on Tebris. Introduced in CoT, mentioned in SE.
  • Jonas Vanderbilt, son of Ebenezer, a student in New Ashos. Introduced in CoT (mentioned in letters), appeared in EotDP (a prisoner to rescue).
  • Abraham Vanderbilt, a cousin of Ebenezer, working on taking over Freehaven. Introduced in EotDP2 (as an author of introductory letters), appeared in SE (side quest donor).
  • Bernard Vanderbilt, Abraham's nehpew, ex-mercenary an arms dealer, trying to prove his worth. Introduced in EotDP2 (as Abe's henchman), appeared in SE (side quest donor).
