One of the Travelling Orbs, this magical artifact was created by Archdruid Dalnir, one of the Founders. Initially it was used to operate the Gate of Dalnir in Tar-Dalnir, allowing transportation of the Elven settlers to their domain in Arveran, which initially was limited to Sharrean Forrest alone. It's important part of the plot in Shattered Embrace.

The Orb was used by Lord Talinor to test Dar Pha's parentage in her childhood years, when his wife Phallen's pre-marital affair with Teramon came to light. Since the Orb left a mark on Dar Pha's face, it became clear she's no descendent of Dalnir.
In-game[edit | edit source]
If Dar Pha really was an Elven princess, she would have used the Orb of Dalnir during the opening of the Gate of Dalnir for the Hero on his mission to Outworld. Since she wasn't, she was given the Orb of Lorren instead (fitting her real heritage, i.e. from the House of Lorren). The Hero understood the difference only after the false Orb of Lorren, that he was supposed to deliver to Teramon, exploded.
