Outworld is one of two alien dimensions (located outside Antaloor) introduced by the Shattered Embrace DLC. It must be visited by the Hero over the course of the main quest, in order to bring the refugees from Arveran back into their homeland.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Outworld is generally similar in appearance to Antaloor, with the exception of giantic mushrooms. Some fauna resembles monsters known from Antaloor, likely due to parallel evolution from common ancestors (some Antaloorian animals might have ventured there via natural interdimensional passages that once existed between worlds).
The only settlement in Outworld seems to be Teramon's Refuge, founded by the refugees from Arveran that traveled there via Gate of Teramon after the Troubles. Their leaders were (and are) Lady Gorana and Lord Teramon, who visited Outworld earlier several times (building his Tower there prior to the town's foundation).
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The planet (if Outworld is really one) seems to be orbiting a star with a Saturn-like ring (or possibly: is a moon of a ringed planet, similar to real-world Titan). It's visible at night, instead of a regular Moon.
- A dimension's name might by a reference to Mortal Kombat series, introducing alien realm (and equally hostile) of the same name.
