ON THE USAGE OF IRENITE, OR THE MAZE OF INFINITE POSSIBILITES
by Doctor Gregor the Wise of Veneficus University

...an extremely rare mineral called irenite, which has recently been discovered by modern science, still holds many secrets. What we do know, is that they seem to have a limitless number of applications, allowing the crystal’s lucky owner to choose what suits him (or her) best.

Raw irenite crystals, usually large and forming complex spatial structures, can be used to encrust any item, and are capable of providing its owner with unnatural strength, the nature of which still remains a mystery.

Alternatively, large irenite crystals can be cut or broken into smaller crystals, sharp enough to be used on edged weapons, like swords or axes. The result adds a strange, poisonous effect to the physical damage of the weapon in question.

Crystals can be broken down even further, creating crystal shards. In theory, they could have been used to enhance irenite-made blades, but the technology of making such weapons (if they ever actually existed) is not known in the present era.

Finally, crystal shards can be broken down again, and ground into crystal dust to be used as the main ingredient of extraordinary potions...
