Decompose the loot...

You've probably collected a number of seemingly-frivolous items already and are wondering what can be done with them. There's an old orcish saying that “Everything will shatter” - obviously, you just need the right tools! Just take metal or leather you no longer need, then use the anvil and hammer to break it down into its constituent parts, or raw materials. Read the next chapter to learn what can be done with those once you've broken a piece of equipment down.

Improve the equipment...

Quite simply, you can improve the quality of your equipment - the toughness, power, etc. - but you need the right materials first. That's why it pays to loot enemy corpses and take weapons and armor that seem useless. Everything can be broken down! Once you have the prerequisite raw materials, just put them on the anvil with the equipment you want to upgrade and use the forge!

Socket the stones...

There are plenty of precious stones in Antaloor, but ones with magical properties are much more valuable. And, they don't require any background in wizardry, as they can be put directly into weapons and armor! Note that not every weapon has slots for stones. Often times upgrading will resolve this deficiency.

Remember to examine your inventory carefully before you make a decision to change an item. Another thing to remember is that many crystal shards can be fused into one larger crystal with an application of heat. That way you can create more powerful stones to be placed in your weapons and armor.

Paint the clothes...

Like to express yourself? No worries! You can fashion any piece of fashion any way you like! As long as it's the right kind. Leather can't be dyed by dyes meant for wood, just like steel can't be painted by pigment meant for leather. But, when you have the proper dye, anything is possible. Have clothes you want to paint? Just pick the new pigment. An old outfit can be made like new again!.
