Tortured the Tenebrae freak for a good while. For a novice, he held out a long time. I was past thinking he knew anything; I was just cutting on him for the fun of it when he finally gave up some information. He told me that the Order is preparing an attack on this temple. I told my Commander and he sent some scouts, but they didn't find any Tenebrae forces or any of their freaks either. Maybe the Tenebrae was lying after all. Might as well sharpen my knives and make sure.

Ground shaking yesterday. Men are uneasy about it, but pretending they aren't. I sure as hell am. Never heard of a ground-shake in these parts before.

[...]

I should have run with the rest of them, but I was too busy calling them cowards. More fool on me, the cowards are the only ones who got out. I'm the idiot who brought paper but no food, and the rest of us are good and trapped. Looks like the quake cut under the mountain peak and buried the temple in rock. Lucky for the men, most of our forces left camp yesterday. Unlucky for us, since there was almost no one around when the mudslide hit. Good news is that the quake must have destroyed the riverbed - and the water has flooded the lower floors of the Temple, so we won't die of thirst, but I really hope someone has an idea how to get out of here. I sure don't.

For the sake of the Gods... one of the men down here was a Mage. He was able to open a portal to other parts of the temple, but while we were going through them, he passed out due to his wounds. Never seen a portal close on a man before. I can hear the men arguing over whether or not we can make a fire large enough to cook what's left.

[...]

The fire was a bad idea. It sucked up most of the air that was left in the chamber, and smoke is everywhere. The argument over whether or not the fire was making it hard to breathe turned bloody. I just laid in a corner and watched. We are going to die down here.

[...]

Getting harder to breathe and I think I'm losing my mind. I saw the High Priest walking the corridors yesterday, but it couldn't be him; I saw him die the day the ground began to shake. Today, he appeared near the statue that stands in front of the partially flooded entrance to the armories. I followed him to the main hall of the Archives, but I couldn't enter the room where the plans and maps were kept; I think the room is magically sealed. Light-headed...I need to go lie down.

[...]

I'm not crazy. The dead are haunting the temple. They don't seem to recognize us, and they've already killed two of the men. It must have something to do with the weapon the Tenebrae used...

[...]

The men have scattered, trying to hide from the ghosts, but it's no use. They come through the walls, and have no recollection of our brotherhood. Ricktoll's ghost attacked... and we must have killed dozens of men together in our time. I managed to get away, but the bastard got me good, and I have no supplies to treat the wound.

[...]

I should have died in the quake. Now I'll haunt these halls forever, with the ghosts of my mates. If only I could get to the main Altar - the Ritual of the Long Way could free them, but a High Priest has summoned fiery Temple Guardians that are even more deadly than the ghosts of my friends. May the Gods have mercy on our souls.
