STRUCTURE

I. Main ring of the bracelet. Material: copper. II. Three crystals: one large, two small. Blue. Clarity irrelevent, but must have ability to emit light. III. Outer part of the forearm shield. Material: copper. IV. Inner part of the forearm shield. Material: copper.

The bracelets are made mostly out of copper. As it contains no decorative values, I presume it was chosen for its high conductive properties. The crystals are what power the twin communicators - they produce and maintain the electromagnetic link between the bracelets.

APPLIED USES

- Tracking purposes (not suitable for tracking small animals: too heavy). - Any mission where knowledge of another, separate team member is necessary. - Triangulating distance.

HISTORY

Origins of the object (or rather, the set) are unknown. I can only count its history from the point where it came into my possession.

Travelling through the desert of Erimos I came upon a secret door leading to an underground labyrinth (NOTE: there might be other, similar places still out there - take a look!). I found the bracelet in the heart of the maze using the famous "left-hand method".

A few nights later, while studying the bracelet, I had an impression that its crystals shun. A few nights later it did it again - the crystals shun with a bright blue light. Upon further examination I learned it only illuminated when faced in a certain direction. My final conclusion was that the bracelet had an anchor far away, which incited some reaction causing it to brighten when it pointed in that direction.

I followed the lit path of the bracelet and it brought me to New Ashos. I circumnavigated the city (didn't want to run intoRector Veneficus). I was led to an underground crypt with many graves in the walls, not marked on any map... a secret burial ground of a tribe or people unknown. The bones had all withered to dust and the walls were a strange metal. Even the earth was blacked, fused stone... as if some great heat source had ignited within the tomb, scarring the walls for all eternity. The symbols inside the crypt did not look human.

Continuing to follow the light, the bracelet led to what I was sure was some treasure hidden in one of the graves. I finally found the right one. The bracelet's twin was buried beneath the dust of a corpse and some burial gifts... strange cloths and rusted metal trinkets that fit in the hand, too large to be rings and too small to be scepters. The sight of them made me cringe. But, the sight of the bracelet made me smile. Together they shun with a light so bright it lit the darkened tomb like day.

I still have not discovered the property that lets these objects behave this way.
