InsideTwoWorlds.com also collected some questions to ask ZuxxeZ on the upcoming AddOn Pirates of the flying Fortress. Please keep in mind, that questions are mostly static and it can happen sometimes that the prior intention got lost during answering the question. So the answers might not all be satisfying as you’ve expected them to be.

Now here are the answers:

Q: Does the addon play in its own world or in the same as Two Worlds 2?

A: The expansion pack plays in Antaloor, however not in the known regions. The story takes places in an archipelago far in the north. How long does it take to complete the addon? The singleplayer playtime is about 12-14h, the new MP maps take about 3-4h to finish. (Added by Author: Depending on the level of the players of course.)


Q: Is there a difference in the plot by not finishing TwoWorlds2 before playing the AddOn?

A: No, the character can be imported to the AddOn at a decent level. If you haven’t a character strong enough, you could also choose from one of three predefined characters (Warrior, Mage, Archer), with which you play “Pirates of the Flying Fortress”. All characters have individual abilities and armors. Additional you can individualize them with free to spent skillpoints at the beginning of the game. (Added by Author: I think it’s you have 30 points free at your disposal.)


Q: Will there be new armors, weapons, items, etc. implemented with the AddOn?

A: Yes, we’re giving you with the AddOn new Weapons and Armors. But I may not tell more than that. One of the weapons will be a ranged weapon, and some of the new armors are not for the hero.


Q: Is long time motivation planned as the maps are played through in no time, and then the multiplayer does not motivate to continue.

A: We will implement a new balancing with the expansion pack, which will make boss battles more challenging. For the singleplayer we’ve also added some little extras for the boss battles. Strength and weapons aren’t everything. You also have to do “something” that hasn’t directly to do with fighting.


Q: Is there a date for the Modkit/SDK?

A: Not decided yet.


Q: Will there be more AddOns for TwoWorlds 2?

A: Short- to medium term no.


Q: Will there be new MP gametypes with the addon?

A: No.
