The Two Worlds WikI Revitalization Project is the name of the massive cleanup effort that began on February 24, 2021, when the Two Worlds Wiki's independent branch was first set up. The Revitalization Project is a years-long effort to clean up every article from the existing Wikia/Fandom Two Worlds Wikis and turn them into a proper wiki documenting the Two Worlds Series, on par with other fantasy wikis, such as the Unofficial Edler Scrolls Wiki, The Inheritance Cycle Wiki, or the Dragon Age Wiki as well as to build upon them where the original coverage was lacking.

Sorting[edit | edit source]

Of the many tasks that have gone into the cleanup effort, the first was sorting every article into the Draft namespace. From there, templates such as {{Two Worlds Draft}} or {{Lore Draft}} were added to every article, to categorize them for further sorting. Once sorted into Lore/Meta/Media categories, they were categorized by type, such as location, weapons, alchemy ingredients, etc.

Cleanup[edit | edit source]

Once articles were sorted, proper cleanup began. This involves doing at least a single pass of every article, cleaning up the categories, and creating redirects from the main namespaces to the Draft namespace. Secondary passes include(d) cleaning up page formatting and adding or fixing infoboxes and navboxes, among other tasks. While some articles remain(ed) in the draft namespace, many were moved to their respective namespaces to be further built and improved upon.

Additional Goals[edit | edit source]

Tertiary projects for the wiki include things such as:

  • The News Archive, an ongoing effort to document the history of the franchise. From Interviews to news releases, patch releases, and other events of historical significance to the series.
  • Documenting online gameplay modes, missions, quests, and levels.
