Chapter I: Way to Vokar is the first of the seven Adventure Mode quests for the base game of Two Worlds II. The player is tasked to bring back a precious Sarcophagus that has long since been thought lost. The first mission requires them to find the way to the Village of Vokar.

Chapter I: Way to Vokar[edit | edit source]

Emperor Gandohar has recruited a special task force. You have been handpicked by the Emperor himself for a team whose mission is to find and bring back a precious Sarcophagus long thought to be lost. Your priority is to locate the village of Vokar, rumored to hold the famous Well of Wisdom. This ancient artifact will determine the location of any object in the world, as long as you have enough desire to find it.

Emperors Messenger: Since you're here, I assume you already know what you're looking for. I wasn't able to locate the village of Vokar myself, nor the Well of Knowledge, but I may know someone who can. Find the mage named Dorthar. He'll know where to go.

Way to Vokar[edit | edit source]

The Emperor's messenger couldn't tell you the location of Vokar village, which is said to be home to the Well of Wisdom. He did, however, give you the name of a man who can... Dorthar. You should find him.

Dorthar: Ah, I know who you are. Don't worry how. And now you're here. An omen? It's of no consequence. What matters is whether or not I can count on you to help. You'll learn everything you need. There's a graveyard near here where a horde of the undead have somehow got the notion they should be walking about. Come dawn, they sleep, but only through the daylight hours. Others have looked to me to intervene, but my magic is for the living, not the dead! I sense you have some skill. I know you could hold your own, is what I'm saying. Put them back in their graves, and it will be worth your while.

Noises in the Graveyard[edit | edit source]

Find the graveyard and settle a promise to Dorthar.
You cleared the graveyard of its unholy denizens. Now, return to Dorthar and share the news.

Dorthar: I sense the reanimated dead are again at peace. Very good. Now, as I promised... the knowledge you came for. I'm afraid I have nothing but bad news. All routes to Vokar are closed. You can get there only through the Cursed Mine. I didn't choose to call it that, but... who cares. An evil spirit riles that dark, abysmal place, and you're sure to draw its attention just by stepping inside. Only a fair warning. Also, know that its unholy spawn will be watching the entrance. Best of luck. And, for your own sake, don't fall to the same temptation the miners did: whatever treasure you think you may dig up in there, delve too deep and it will be your doom.

Retake What's Mine[edit | edit source]

You got rid of the reanimated corpses inhabiting the graveyard. Now there's time to find the Cursed Mine. It's supposedly the only way left to Vokar village.
You reached the mine. Get rid of the guardians so you may enter.
You've cleared the mine. Dorthar is waiting for you at the entrance.

Dorthar: Congratulations. I sense you've been successful. The darkness is at rest again... but now, the real trial. You and I must pass through the mine together. You'd better keep up. I won't come back for you if you get lost.

You've found the way to Vokar. However, the road before you is long. This is merely the first step on the path to the Well of Wisdom.
